Greatest GW Finals Ever
I'm too lazy to post a screenshot, but in case you were wondering what I'm referring to, watch the rawr vs vZ game. vZ came out of almost nowhere, sweeping top teams in both round robin and elimination rounds (besides the DF error at the end). They appeared to be close to finishing their quest of obtaining gold until...
But yeah, I thought Anet said something about replaying elimination or finals games if there is an error and the team who had the error was "leading". Either way, I really think vZ should've gotten another try at it. Oh well, grats to rawr again I guess...
Edit: In case people didn't notice, the title is purely sarcastic, considering that the team that should've won it is DF, but DF didn't make it to the finals match.

rawr is really just too good. I mean, if God is on your side, do you need to worry that you are runnign a hex eater vortex against condi pressure? I think not. Gratz guys!

gz to vz for actually winning the tournament although the game said otherwise.
you really did an impressive job throughout all of it and deserve lots of respect.
the degen in the game was impressive, i was really shocked, it reminded me of the NoT vs StS game last month, but the degen was just better, you got everything out of those conditions there were to get..
anyways, apart from those 3 mins the game was obviously boring due to obvious reasons..but still good.
good job all. :>
(*wants a replay also*)

vZ actually came close to breaking rawr a few times, even after the error. Pretty epic match overall, vZ put up a pretty decent fight 7v8.

Hai, as RaZoO pointed out, vZ only made the final becuase a DF warrior lagged out against them.. now, I dont think vZ was too unhappy about that..
They did seem slightly upset about the outcome of the final match however
DF played well almost the entire tournament and did put them self in a position to win the semifinal had they not had a player lag out.
So all I can say is, what goes around comes around...
vZ have no ground to complain about how things went down, had lag not helped them they would not even have made the final game.

"dont deco = win"! I spot some French fairplay *rolleyes*
Let's be honest, it's just karma blabla. DF deserved their spot in the finals, vZ luckily got through, just hilarious how it backfired in their following match.
That degen build isn't nothing new indeed, be ran a similar setup just one week ago and won easily the French Championships. It's notorious for being strong against current meta.
Anyway, grats to both teams, especially rawr.

Thanks for the insights, Farin and Polly. I was about to give vZ much more credit than they deserve.
However, going with a dom mesmer runner, in the finals, on isle of the dead, really takes balls.

I was pretty surprised to see rawr run the build they did, considering everyone was pretty sure vZ wouldn't be changing their builds.
It's pretty hypocritical by vZ to say rawr should have resigned out of sportsmanship when they only got to the final due to farin's mexican internet.
Pretty sure most people wouldn't resign out on free ipods anyway though.

Seems like DF should get the gold trim then
Anyone know what happened to NoT? Did they lose some players or just all of a sudden got bad?

And why do people say that vZ came out of nowhere, Haha, pug of really good players, and vZ have been around for a few months, both as real guild and later a pug.
Anyway, DF FOR GOLD CAPE! ><

Yeah, true.
I was shocked when I noticed 5/0 at first.
I would never have guessed they would had made the Top 16, yet Top 2. :P
Must have been the blessing of your Vent Wipe. ;D
